I bought my bike brand new in 2017, an R1200GS Adventure TE model. 8 years later, the bike looks better than a lot of bikes less than a year old and runs better too.
Maintenance is the key, mechanically, I change oil & filter every 5,000 km's rather than the recommended 10,000 and the engine is all the better for it.
I applied the Bike Ceramic Supreme 5 years ago and it gets. deep clean and a top up twice a year as I ride throughout the winter and the bike gets a lot of salt & crud each year.
The motorcycle specific ceramics that we use are heat resistant to 800ºC and anti-corrosion and are applied to all areas of the bike, including engine, exhaust, etc. The bike has no rust on it anywhere and folk that see it are usually amazed at the showroom condition!
